It’s now done, two students are enrolled in the program. Jennifer and Haritz. They share the same story, they grew up in a community on the river and are now starting their studies in Iquitos. Jennifer studies Accountancy and Haritz studies to become a teacher. They both choose their studies because they love the matter. Financing their studies may be an issue and taking part in the Parway project should help them.
I will go to Iquitos for 4 weeks, from July 24th until August 21st. The objectives will be to teach Jennifer and Haritz with some key skills to start their job as a Spanish teacher over the internet. We will have to work on their English first.to establish a common denominator with their clients, build a simple methodology to teach Spanish, work on their computer literacy and develop everything that should be useful to do the job.
I will go to visit some communities on the river and visit some schools, they will be closed from 29th of July until the 9th of August, may be the opportunity to discuss with some teachers and better understand the local needs.
